YUM-BİR Chairman of the Board
Central Union of Egg Producers
INVITATION LETTER
Dear Esteemed Producers and Valued Stakeholders of the Egg Sector;
The egg industry continuously works to strengthen its sectoral structure by developing both its production infrastructure and its overall framework. It prioritizes improving product quality above all else, while consistently updating its global position through its current investment, production, and export capacity.
Türkiye’s domestic consumption and export of eggs are affected each year by global developments, creating new circles of impact. While there are positive developments on one side, challenges are simultaneously diversifying on the other. Health issues, thought to have increased due to Covid-19, along with worldwide conflicts and disasters, and additionally the effects of climate change, have led to rising production costs, threatening the sustainability of production.
Egg, as the most reliable, affordable, and easily accessible source of animal protein for humanity, is at times used as an economic weapon—a reality we occasionally witness firsthand. This clearly demonstrates that eggs are not just a food item but a strategic and highly important product.
In addition, different rearing methods are emerging in response to consumer and market demands, technological advances, and global trends. We carefully monitor and safeguard all correct and reliable production methods under our umbrella, representing both our consumers and the industry we proudly serve. Through our R&D efforts, we lay the foundation for the egg food industry and advanced processed egg products.
From farm to table, in today’s world where food safety has become paramount, consumers are increasingly concerned about the conditions under which eggs are produced, the feed given to hens, and how their health is maintained. Sustainable production is impossible without adapting to these new conditions.
All these developments are guiding our sector toward change, growth, and new initiatives. In short, those who foresee tomorrow will remain within the sustainability circle. For our sector, tomorrow will be very different from yesterday and today.
As the Central Union of Egg Producers (YUM-BİR), we aim to bring together egg producers and all stakeholders of the sector at the 7th Egg Summit, to be held in ANTALYA from 26–29 November 2026 under the theme "Our Future is Egg." We intend to share the latest knowledge and global developments, adding value to our vision for the future. We invite all our stakeholders to contribute to our summit with their questions, concerns, suggestions, and support.
